Harry Styles fans think he's releasing new music next week over hosting Saturday Night Live clue

Fans of Harry Styles have been constantly searching for clues he would release new music any day, and now they think there's some credible evidence.

The former One Direction member released his last album, Grammy Award -winning Harry's House, in May 2022. A rumor started online that he'll be releasing music on October 18 and while it seemed made up, recent announcements from other singers and Saturday Night Live have people talking.

Last month, SNL shared the schedule for the first shows of its 50th season. Noticably, the show skipped the week of October 26.

"So there’s still a gap on October 26 right??? AND people are talking about October 18… walk with me," one fan wrote on X, formally known as Twitter, as they theorized that Harry would be on the show after releasing new music.

However, another X user pointed out that October 26 is just a monthly break that the show takes. "It’s a fall break :/ every year a fandom tries to clown," someone wrote. Nevertheless, fans are pointing to other celebrities to prove their point about new music.

Shawn Mendes took to his Instagram Story on Thursday, to announce the delay of his album, Shawn, which was supposed to come out on October 18. He wrote: "Hey guys. My team and I have decided to push the album release date to November 15th."

"We just need a little bit more time to bring some new inspiration and ideas to life," the singer continued, "I love you guys thank you for being so patient, I can't wait to see you guys at the next few shows x."

Joe Jonas was also set to release his solo album, Music for People Who Believe In Love, on October 18. However, Joe took to Instagram last month to announce that his album was going to be pushed back.

"The album is gonna come out later now because I’m flooded with inspo and want to add some final touches," he wrote in an Instagram caption where he also announced his single What This Could Be.

Social media users believed that this couldn't be a coincidence. One wrote on X, formally known as Twitter: "*laughs nervously* hahahaha what’s happening October 18."

Another added: "I wanna know who the heck is releasing a surprise album on October 18th cause there’s no way both Joe Jonas and Shawn Mendes delayed their album releases (both set for that very same day) just for creative reasons."

"Shawn delaying his album which is fully finished atp so like the only reason to delay it is if another bigger artist was putting out music and guess what the og release date was…10/18…HS4 AT MIDNIGHT PEOPLE," a third added.

However, others think that another big artist is releasing music that day instead. "Y’all are so dumb obviously rep tv is coming," one person wrote referencing Taylor Swift's last re-release album Reputation (Taylor's Version) that fans have been waiting for.
