Five-time Jeopardy! winner Mark Fitzpatrick blamed his personality for his recent loss.

The content manager from Riverside, Connecticut entered Friday night's game as a five-game winner and racked up $107,201. He went up against Dot White, a clinical psychologist from Bethesda, Maryland, and Eamonn Campbell, a lawyer from Manchester, Vermont .

It was announced during this game that Mark will be competing in the Tournament of Champions . And while he reached that feat, he lost Friday's game to Eamonn.

At the end of the game, Mark had $4,800, Dot had $9,801, and Eamonn won with $13,700. After the game, Mark took to the Reddit thread for Friday's game to share why he thought he lost the game.

"It took 6 games but I finally reverted to my true trivia identity: an overconfident, overthinking, hot mess," he wrote, "Congrats to Eamonn on the win and also to Dot for a strong second."

Fans of the long-running TV game show responded to his post. "U were fantastic! Congrats for 6 games!" one wrote.

"I’ve just gotten back into watching Jeopardy this week and I really enjoyed watching you!" another added, "As someone who has an audition coming up, it is comforting to know there is room for overthinking hot messes. Congrats & good luck in the ToC!"

A third wrote: "You’re very humble Mark but you’re an excellent player. Congrats on your run!"

Others shared their love of Mark and congratulated him on his time on the show. "Congrats to Mark on his very impressive run, and welcome to the ToC!" one fan said, "Those fifth games in a single tape day are brutal, so nothing but respect and empathy from me."

"Aww bye Mark. Excited he’ll return for ToC," a second added. Another user wrote: "Amazing player Mark. You'll be a contender in the TOC for sure. Those were two tough DDs you got."

Mark isn't the only Jeopardy! player to jump on Reddit to share their thoughts and experiences on the show. One of Mark's former opponents, Andrew Miller, shared how the show helped accommodate his visual impairment.

"Andrew here! Haven’t watched yet but just want to say this was the best experience of my life," he wrote, "The crew on set was amazing; I’m visually impaired and they made helpful accommodations to the gameplay and were chill about me knocking stuff with my cane all day."

He added: "These were definitely not my categories which made it easy to cope with the L knowing my opponents had played so well on such a challenging board. GG boys!”
