On Monday, Louisville Metro police said a bright-eyed teen football star was shot and killed a few blocks away from an elementary school . Two more women were shot but are expected to survive.

According to LMPD, the incident occurred near the 2900 block of Garfield Avenue, a few streets north of Atkinson Elementary, at approximately 11:17 a.m. on Tuesday. They discovered 15-year-old Titan Walker's lifeless corpse when they got there. One of the women on the scene was shot, but she is expected to live.

Another woman sustained minor injuries, according to the police, but they were unable to confirm if she had been shot. LMPD stated, "There are no known suspects yet." Today We Didnt Lose A Player/ Teammate, Today We Lost A Son And A Brother! We Love You Big Titan Walker Like One Too And You Knew That," one Facebook user wrote, seeming like the boy's coach.

"RIP to this young man," wrote another. "This has become the norm and it’s not cool because we are losing our young black boys in the process. Blessings to this young man’s family and Blessings to the Jaguar organization for being a positive outlet and a listening ear for these boys. We need more Men in this community like you all."
