Terry Bradshaw roasted by FOX NFL Sunday co-stars after belting out Queen song in Patriots rant

Terry Bradshaw seemingly made the right career choice after the former NFL quarterback’s singing was brutally mocked by his ‘FOX NFL Sunday’ co-hosts.

While the panel of stars debated over the current events taking place across the league, Bradshaw was asked about the Patriots’ decision to bench veteran quarterback Jacoby Brissett in favor of rookie Drake Maye . The 76-year-old didn’t mince words, insisting that New England was making the wrong choice.

“It's a terrible move,” he began. “Brissett was doing everything he could to keep that thing going. That's a horrible offensive line. The one key word there is pressure.”

Brissett did little to impress over the first five games of the season, throwing for just 696 yards, two touchdowns and one interception en route to commanding the Patriots to a 1-5 start. The 31-year-old was additionally sacked 17 times in the process, tied for fourth-most in the league this year.

Ahead of Maye’s first NFL regular-season start against the Houston Texans , Bradshaw speculated that the young-signal caller would struggle with constantly being under duress - but the FOX Sports analyst made his point in only the way he can.

“Freddie Mercury of Queen, remember the song? Pressure! Coming down... you remember the song?” he sang as his co-hosts looked on with amused faces. “Drake Maye will be under pressure. This is a bad move.

“Five different offensive line combinations already, and your starting center, [David] Andrews, has been out. This is a terrible idea. Jacoby Brissett deserves to keep starting and let that kid sit.”

Once Bradshaw had finished up the bizarre rant, his peers couldn’t help but poke fun at his meagre attempt at singing. “When you went through that in the mirror last night, did it come off better?” Howie Long jokingly asked.

“Howie, you're not going to believe this. I just came up with that. Right here, in live television.” Bradshaw replied, prompting a shocked response from the panel. “The way your brain thinks blows us all away,” Michael Strahan chimed in.

Later during the show, Jimmy Johnson left Bradshaw, Strahan, and the rest of the panel laughing uncontrollably after "forgetting" his script in another amusing moment.

Maye, meanwhile, turned in an up-and-down performance on Sunday, completing 20-of-33 passes for 243 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions. He additionally had five carries for 38 yards and was sacked a total of four times.

Speaking to reporters following the Patriots’ 41-21 loss to the Texans, head coach Jerod Mayo asserted that he was impressed by what he saw from Maye. “I thought he showed a lot of poise,” he said.

“I thought he went out there and controlled the huddle, got those guys out of the huddle and once again, made some plays. It’s definitely encouraging. From a team-wide perspective right now, we let him down. It was his first game, and I feel like I let him down. I’m sure all the coaches feel like we let everyone down. We’ve just got to be better.”
