Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's solo engagements could be a part of their image rebrand, says expert

Concerns have been sparked as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been making a series of solo appearances, leaving many to wonder if they're shifting their public image. Recently, Harry embarked on trips alone, traveling to New York, London, and South Africa to support his charitable endeavors.

Meanwhile, Meghan has been making her own appearances, including walking the red carpet in a stunning red gown at a children's hospital gala and meeting young women to celebrate International Day of the Girl. This marks a significant departure from their earlier days as a couple, when they frequently attended events together.

Royal historian Hugo Vickers believes it's "very possible" that the couple is undergoing a rebrand, by focusing on individual pursuits . In an interview with The Sun, he cautioned Meghan, saying, "I don't think that anything she's doing at the moment is going to appeal to people in the UK very much."

He stated: "Her wearing a red dress is this sort of power statement like Princess Diana wearing a black dress when she went to the Serpentine Gallery. Sort of establishing herself as a figure. I think that works better in America than it does over here."

PR expert Ed Coram-James, the CEO of PR firm Go Up, also weighed in on the matter, stating that many of the strategies employed by Harry and Meghan were tailored to US audiences, which ultimately led to her previous plan backfiring in the UK, reports the Mirror .

He told the Mirror: "The Duchess of Sussex took a US based attitude to PR. US based PR can be extremely attack focused. Go on the offensive against your rivals. Big publicity tours. Reveal all exposes. Celebrity endorsements. Find a way to involve the current culture wars. Drill a point until it hits home. UK PR tends to be different. Just as visible, but much more discreet."

"In short: Harry and Meghan took a US-style approach to PR and tried to make it work internationally. And it backfired, spectacularly. Inter-family feuding can play very well within the context of reality TV, especially US-based reality TV."

"But, try to turn the national treasure that is the British royal family into a reality TV show, and you're going to find a lot of very, very irritated Brits. And, when It fails, and, instead of taking the cues and stopping, you instead choose to double down and 'go big or go home', you really are onto a losing strategy."

Meanwhile, a source close to the Duke and Duchess spilled the beans to People magazine about the reason behind their individual pursuits, saying: "It's clear that a twin-track approach is evolving."

Adding fuel to the speculation, another confidant chimed in: "The Duke and Duchess have now hit their stride as individuals – not just as a couple. The Duke appears focused on his patronage work, and the Duchess focused on her entrepreneurial track."

Diving deeper into their separate roles, they revealed: "An entrepreneurial and enterprise focus is going to be more the Duchess's priority and the Duke will continue to champion his not-for-profit patronages. But there will be joint efforts around those cause-driven areas of work."

How many tines do you two have to rebrand yourselves. Label you rebrand Markles, and yet you fail at everything
