NCIS Origins has arrived, and fans are eager to learn more about its cast, including the actor behind Special Agent Benjamin "Randy" Randolph, Caleb Foote.

The CBS prequel has been highly anticipated, with fans of the original series keen to discover what the new NCIS police procedural would reveal about Agent Gibbs' (portrayed by Mark Harmon) history.

Set in 1991, a young Gibbs (played by Austin Stowell) joins NCIS as a rookie agent and is quickly introduced to Agent Randy (Caleb Foote), who is characterized as the agency's "charming golden boy".

Randy, a father to twin toddlers, takes on the role of mentor to Gibbs, sparking viewer interest in the actor who plays him.

    Early Career

Special Agent Randy is brought to life by actor Caleb Foote, who, despite only having onscreen roles since 2017, has an extensive background in theatre.

One of his notable performances was in Hand To God, which earned him the San Diego Theatre Critics Circle 2017 Craig Noel Award for Outstanding Male Performance.

In the same year, he had a minor role in Grey's Anatomy before appearing as Pus Bucket in American Horror Story season seven and Eli in American Crime Story season two.

His first significant role was as Eddie Cleary in the ABC series The Kids Are Alright.

In 2021, Foote joined the cast of Max's Made For Love as Bennett Hobbes, acting alongside Cristin Milioti, best known for her role as Tracy in How I Met Your Mother.

    Love Life

While little is known about Foote's personal life, it's confirmed that he is in a relationship.

He recently posted a series of charming photos on Instagram featuring him and his girlfriend Reagan Jobie on a fishing trip, captioned: "Catch and release."

Although her Instagram account is private, her bio discloses that she is a therapist living in Salt Lake County.

The specifics of their relationship, such as how they met or the duration of their relationship, remain undisclosed.

    NCIS Origins role

Foote, who brings Agent Randy to life in NCIS, shared with TV Insider the excitement of developing a new character for the show.

He expressed: "I have a wonderful opportunity to create a new character.

"Our entire team has been so helpful in that everything from my character's wedding ring.

"They let me pick the wedding ring to the watch that I wear, and I have input in the costume and my pistol holster, and this scuff mark on it and the story behind that, and so it's just been...so cool to create this character that doesn't exist."

NCIS Origins continues every Monday on CBS.
