Jake Paul and Mike Tyson are standing their ground against the tide of public opinion , refusing to alter the terms of their highly anticipated fight .

The pair is set to duke it out in Arlington, Texas next month, following a postponement due to Tyson's ulcer issues. The hype for the rescheduled match is escalating as the countdown continues. In the upcoming bout, Paul and Tyson will face off professionally with eight two-minute rounds, deviating from the usual three-minute rounds.

Despite public calls for a 10-round, three-minute per round fight, which Paul himself challenged Tyson to consider, the rules remain unchanged. The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation has given the green light to the fight. Both fighters will don 14-ounce gloves, which are bulkier than the typical boxing gloves.

Ahead of the clash, Tyson issued a stark warning to his opponent: "Be in shape, be in good shape because your health depends on it" - to which Paul retorted: "You're the one who wanted right two-minute rounds, want to make it 10x3? Don't talk to me about shape, you want 10x3?"

Tyson initially held back from responding, but Paul went on: "That's the thing, everyone's all talk, I'll do whenever, wherever, it's all talk. I'm stating facts, he's ----talking." Tyson eventually did reply, cautioning: "Be careful... he should be very careful."

Paul boldly warned Tyson with confidence, remarking: "People are always going to have something to say, it's because I've proved everyone wrong. I'm here to make history, I'm here for a challenge and I'm here to fight one of the most dangerous men in boxing.

"He's vicious, he's a killer, he has one-punch KO power, he is the greatest heavyweight of all time but I will prove all of the haters wrong, that's what I've always done. I'm not scared of ----, I was born for this moment, the universe told me this was going to happen. I'm going to put on the performance of a lifetime."

The upcoming bout promises to be a milestone event for both fighters' stats. With an impressive resume, Paul boasts 10 wins seven by KO and only a single blemish to his name incurred at the hands of Tommy Fury last year in Saudi Arabia.

On the other side, Tyson's legendary track record stands at 50-6, including 44 knockouts. However, 'Iron Mike' has been absent from a professionally sanctioned bout since his 2005 defeat to Kevin McBride.
