NFL insider predicts Andy Reid and other top coaches will be wary of Tom Brady's FOX crew

Tom Brady’s involvement with the Las Vegas Raiders as a minority owner could put his duties as an analyst for FOX Sports in jeopardy .

Recently, a majority of the owners in the NFL approved Brady’s minority stake in the Raiders , with the seven-time Super Bowl champion set to own around 10 percent of the team. In doing so, Brady officially ended his playing career as owners are not allowed to play on any team.

While his playing career has come to an end, Brady ’s involvement as an owner of the Raiders could also see his career as an analyst end sooner than he might have wanted. Because of his role as an owner of the Raiders, the 47-year-old is subjected to six rules that apply only to him , which limits his ability to gather information before each game, such as not being allowed to attend production meetings and attend practices, among other restrictions.

That said, while Brady is barred from attending meetings and practices, the rest of his FOX Sports team will be allowed to participate. This, in turn, creates a potential loophole Brady can use to still get insight from coaches and players despite not formally being allowed to be in those areas.

And while Brady and his team might have found a way to circumvent the NFL’s rules on his participation, it appears as if the teams are not happy with that situation. On Thursday, during a conference call with the media, the league said that coaches are not allowed to dismiss Brady’s team of Kevin Burkhardt, Erin Andrews, and Tom Rinaldi, per NBC Sports ' Mike Florio.

"The issue becomes relevant this weekend when Brady and Fox handle the Chiefs-49ers game," Florio continued. "Does Kansas City coach Andy Reid really want to open the vault for folks who then, as part of their normal job duties, will funnel information directly to Brady, who is now an owner of the Raiders?

"The fact that Reid or Broncos coach Sean Payton or Chargers coach Jim Harbaugh can’t keep Brady’s colleagues out of the building provides even more proof in support of the notion that Brady shouldn’t want to do both jobs — and that he shouldn’t be allowed to do both jobs."

Even with the restrictions and the potential conflict of interest, it appears as if Raiders owner Mark Davis and Brady are excited for the opportunity. Shortly after it was announced that Brady would be a minority owner of the Raiders, Davis explained how the NFL legend’s arrival is just what Las Vegas needed as the team attempts to figure a direction.

Speaking to reporters , Davis explained how he and Brady have yet to discuss what role he will take but also that his role will evolve over time. “It’s an exciting time for the Raiders organization,” Davis said, according to Albert Breer. “It’s an exciting day for all three of those gentlemen and I’m looking forward to what they can bring to the organization in the future.

“We wanted to get to this point first before we started defining anything of that nature and all that. But it’s just exciting. We traded Davante Adams for Tom Brady and a third-round pick. And although Tom can’t play, he can help us select a quarterback of the future and potentially trade him as well. So it’s a huge benefit having him in the organization.”

For his part, Brady released a statement acknowledging his excitement about being the owner of the Raiders, though he did not mention his role with FOX Sports. “I'm incredibly humbled and excited to have been unanimously approved as an owner of the Las Vegas Raiders,” his statement titled “Committed to Excellence” began.

“Throughout my NFL career, I've learned that at its core, football is a game of teamwork, resilience, and a relentless pursuit of excellence. The Raiders franchise, and the city of Las Vegas embody these same values, and I'm honored to become part of that story.

“I'm eager to contribute to the organization in any way I can, honoring the Raiders' rich tradition while finding every possible opportunity to improve our offering to fans... and most importantly, WIN football games. #JustWinBaby #LFG.”

It's kind of wrong to have a NFL owner be an announcer on NFL games somehow doesn't seem right can't help but have a little bias there.
