The National Lottery is on a hunt for the winner of the 'Set for Life' ticket who has yet to claim their $4.39 million windfall.

Someone's life is about to get a major upgrade with the lotto after they scooped up the $12,200-a-month for 30 years prize in the Thursday, October 10 draw. Although there's a winning ticket out there, it remains unclaimed, and it was purchased online, adding to the myster

An urgent call has been made to locate the fortunate individual who might not even realize they've won a fortune. Andy Carter, Senior Winners' Advisor at The National Lottery, expressed the urgency: "It's only just under a week since the Set For Life draw in question saw one lucky ticket-holder scoop the top prize which, when claimed, will see them pocket an incredible £10,000 every month for the next 30 years."

"We are urging all players to log into their National Lottery account to check whether they are the lucky ticket-holder who is now truly 'set for life'."

To find out if you're the winner, you can check your tickets online by downloading the National Lottery app or visiting national-lottery.co.uk, reports the Mirror .

Tickets can also be purchased and checked at retail locations. When you play online through the app or website, your ticket is automatically checked, and you'll receive an email notification if you've won a prize.

You can also verify your retail tickets on the National Lottery app to see if you've hit the jackpot. The fortunate winner is now encouraged to log into their National Lottery account and then dial the National Lottery Line at 0333 234 5050 to stake a claim.

Once the ticket holder has contacted the National Lottery operator Allwyn and the claim has been validated and paid, the ticket holder will then decide whether or not to go public. Unless the ticket holder chooses to go public, there's no information about whether the winner is an individual or a group.

Winners have 180 days from the draw date to claim their prize. Anyone with questions about their ticket or who believes they have won any prizes from any of the National Lottery draws should call the National Lottery Line at 0333 234 5050 or email help@national-lottery.co.uk.

It's crucial to check if you have a winning ticket unless you're okay with missing out on a prize. Earlier this month, the National Lottery confirmed that a winning UK Millionaire Maker ticket was purchased in Rhondda Cynon Taf in Wales on April 16.

However, the lucky winner did not come forward before the 180-day deadline expired. Despite calls for players to recheck their tickets for the winning code, the life-changing sum went unclaimed.
