In a heart-wrenching revelation, Maya Henry, the former fiancée of Liam Payne, disclosed that the ex-One Direction star eerily foretold his own untimely demise .

The world was shocked on Wednesday with the announcement of Liam's death. The beloved singer was vacationing in Buenos Aires with his partner Kate Cassidy when he tragically fell from the third-floor balcony of a hotel.

A body was discovered in the hotel's inner courtyard, prompting the hotel manager to alert the authorities.

Reports suggest that Liam plummeted approximately 13 or 14 meters, sustaining "very serious injuries incompatible with life."

Liam and Maya's paths first crossed in 2015 at a One Direction meet and greet after a concert in Texas. Their lives intersected once more in 2018 at a Dolce & Gabbana fashion show in Lake Como, where Maya was modeling.

The couple got engaged in November 2019, just three months after they began dating officially in August of the same year.

However, they parted ways in June 2021, only to reunite and get engaged again before ultimately ending their relationship in May 2022.

Maya opened up about their tumultuous relationship in a TikTok video last week and during a podcast interview on Monday, merely two days prior to Liam's tragic passing. During her conversation with the YouTube podcast The Internet Is Dead, Maya shared, "He would always message me ever since we broke up saying, 'I am not well.'"

"He would always play with death, saying, 'I am going to die, I am not doing well'. There was one time that I tried to get him help and he was not taking it. He would text my mum and say 'I'm not doing well, have Maya contact me' because I wouldn't respond," reports The Sun.

Luke Benson, a friend of Liam's, has also revealed the dark side of his fame, describing how "ill" the singer had become leading up to his death earlier this week.

In the light of his heartbreaking passing, Liam's One Direction bandmates Louis Tomlinson, Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, and Niall Horan, expressed their sorrow in a joint heartfelt statement. "We're completely devastated by the news of Liam's passing. In time, and when everyone is able to, there will be more to say. But for now, we will take some time to grieve and process the loss of our brother, who we loved dearly," their message began.

They continued, "The memories we shared with him will be treasured forever. For now, our thoughts are with his family, his friends, and the fans who loved him alongside us. We will miss him terribly. We love you Liam."
