Prince Harry and Meghan Markle purchase vacation home 'in popular European country' - close to another royal family member

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are said to be adding a new property in Portugal to their real estate collection, according to reports.

This move keeps the Sussexes connected to Europe, but they aren't the only royals with a residence in the popular vacation destination.

Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank also own a home at the CostaTerra Golf and Ocean Club in Melides, where they often visit with their two children.

It's unclear if this influenced Harry and Meghan's decision to purchase their Portuguese property.

The news follows last year's confirmation that the couple enjoyed a "romantic three-night break" in Portugal after attending the Invictus Games in Germany.

They reportedly flew from Dusseldorf to Lisbon, then traveled an hour south to Melides in a "mega-secret" operation.

Their children, Prince Archie, 5, and Princess Lilibet, 3, did not join them, according to reports. Speculation suggests they may have stayed with Eugenie and Mr Brooksbank, who have previously visited them at their Montecito, California home.

After stepping back as senior royals, Harry and Meghan moved into their Californian mansion in 2020 and have since shared glimpses of their new life in their Netflix docuseries Harry and Meghan, released in 2022.

The couple is reportedly often busy with school runs, dog walks, and beach trips, reports the Express US .

According to neighbors, sightings of the pair are infrequent.
