Liam Payne's ex eerily wrote about a singer who threatened to jump off a balcony prior to his death

After Liam Payne's tragic death, fans have spotted a freaky connection between the circumstances of his passing and the content of his ex-girlfriend's novel .

This week, Liam Payne died at the age of 31-years-old after jumping from the third-floor balcony of a hotel in Argentina. In April of this year, Liam's ex-fiancée Maya Henry released a fictional novel titled Looking Forward, which fans have noticed shared striking similarities to the One Direction singer's harrowing end.

In the fiction novel, Maya writes of a main character named Mallory, who falls in love with Oliver, a former boy band member. Near the end of the plot, Mallory discovered Oliver suffering from a drug-fueled mental breakdown after returning home to their shared apartment. During his psychotic break, Oliver was screaming, crying, and slapping himself in the face before threatening to kill himself and jump off the balcony.

In the novel, she wrote: "He stands outside, in the dark London night, sobbing and unsteady, the handrail only a few feet away. And below that is the cold hard pavement. I watch in horror as he sways a bit, unsteady on his feet, inching ever closer to the railing. He has to stop, I think. I have to stop him.”

But the similarities between Maya's novel and Liam's death don't end there. In the book, Mallory then steps in and saves Oliver by pulling his body back into the apartment. After she intervened, Oliver grew more and more frustrated and went on an angry rampage and punched a hole in the wall. After this, he then grabbed an axe and swung it and smashed their television.

Following Liam's death, police searched the musician's hotel room where they discovered that the television screen inside was shattered. While it was not determined how the screen was cracked, hotel staff claimed that he was "destroying everything in his room" and was "visibly out of his mind." During the investigation into his sudden death, reports also claimed Liam was reportedly under the influence of the drug "Cristal," which is known to cause psychotic attacks and hallucinations.

Two days prior to Liam's death, Maya's lawyers delivered a cease-and-desist letter to the singer on her behalf. This comes as the 23-year-old author took to TikTok this month and accused him of "obsessive contact" and "weaponizing" his fanbase against her. Maya has yet to issue a public statement regarding Liam's passing.
