In an utterly heartbreaking turn of events, fan Carola Gauna tearfully revealed her final interaction with One Direction sensation Liam Payne before he passed away .

Overwhelmed with emotion, Gauna shared on TikTok the unforgettable moment when the 31-year- old artist sang to her, giving her "goosebumps". They conversed and even snapped a joyful photo together. Voice breaking, Carola recounted: "He smiled at me and sang. I got goosebumps'... I'm one of the last people he spoke to. I'm one of the last people he sang to. I went from having the happiest day of my life to one of the saddest."

Struggling to process the loss of the cherished musician , Carola pleaded for privacy, urging: "Don't write to me, don't call me. Have some decency."

In a poignant follow-up video, she said: "Do you understand that I still have his perfume on me? I think it's crazy. I know he was a celebrity and he didn't even care about me, but today I had a nice moment with him. How unfair! " Her initial TikTok video has since gone viral with 4.2million views, with scores of people extending their support.

One commenter sympathized: "Omg I am so sorry.", reports the Mirror . Another expressed: "Imagine meeting your idol and then knowing that you were one of the people who heard him sing. Oh my heart, sending strength." And a third user shared their condolences, saying: "This is so devastating."

The video comes as shocking news emerged on Wednesday, October 16, that Liam tragically died after falling from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina according to local authorities. His body was found in the hotel's inner courtyard and authorities were alerted by the hotel manager.

Reports suggest that Liam's three floor plummet was 42 to 45 feet meters suffering severe injuries deemed 'incompatible with life'. The Argentina National Prosecutor’s Office provided information on Liam's Payne's autopsy in a press release obtained by TODAY that he died of "polytrauma and internal and external bleeding." His death is being investigated.

The music world and fans are mourning his loss, with an outpouring of tributes flooding in from his former bandmates, celebrities and admirers of One Direction. TV host Dermot O'Leary reminisced about Liam as a young hopeful on The X Factor, sharing a heartfelt message on Instagram: "The worst news. I remember him as a 14-year-old turning up to audition on The X Factor, and blowing us away singing Sinatra. He just loved to sing. He was always a joy, had time for everyone, polite, grateful, and was always humble. Sending love and prayers to his family. Dx" In another touching tribute, Harry Styles' mother, Anne Cox, expressed her sorrow on Instagram.

With over 2.5million followers witnessing her grief, Anne Twist posted a simple black screen with a red broken heart emoji. Her caption read: "Just a boy...," reflecting the profound sadness felt by many.
