A 4-year-old girl tragically died after falling from her apartment window during a game that went horribly wrong.

Mi'layah Marie had been playfully jumping up and down on her bed close to an open window at her apartment in Shoreline, Washington State, when she suddenly lost her balance. She then fell into the screen covering the window which then gave way and the girl plummeted to the ground.

An eyewitness quickly rushed to the scene and attempted CPR and she was rushed to hospital last Sunday. However, she tragically died from her injuries. "I went around the back after I heard someone screaming," Andre Alexander, a witness told KIRO. "When I went back there, I seen the young lady, the little girl had fell out the window. There's a young man who's a real hero. This young man did over four and a half minutes of CPR by himself."

According to the Medical Examiner, the girl died from blunt force trauma caused by the fall. "She has a beautiful soul. And I'm just never, none of us are going to get that back,' Mi'layah's heartbroken mum, Najaha Chancellor said to KIRO. "She bumped into it, the screen fell off and she went down," Chancellor said. "I completely lost it.

'As a mother, it's your job. It's your job to protect your children at all costs. I'm just trying to keep it together as any mother would try to do. I still have three other kids to show I have to be strong for. So crying is going to make kids even more emotional. I'm never ever going to get over this because it's different when it's your child that you lose. It's absolutely different.'

The devastated mum paid tribute to her daughter who she described as "caring" and "outgoing." 'She just made everyone happy, it didn't matter who it was. Everyone just loved her, cared about her," Chancellor said.

She added: "She adored the simple things in life, like her favorite fruit, bananas, and her love for the water. Swimming was one of her greatest joys; she loved splashing around and enjoying the freedom the water gave her. Mi'layah was smart, playful, and beautiful, and her memory will forever be a part of our family," her mother penned in an emotional tribute.

"I love you Mi'layah Marie unique hardy you were my world baby girl I'm still so speechless right now I can't find the words to gather and say almost a week of no food barely any rest I wake up the same time everyday and I'm back up the whole entire day. I just wish back in time was a thing,' Chancellor concluded.

It’s horrible that this child lost her life, and the mother is now suffering agony, prayers go out for her. Most parents today allow their children to do what ever whenever they want, and never give one thought of the dangers. Jumping on a bed may seemingly be fun, but the danger of falling and getting injured or worse are astronomical. Then the bed being right next to a window, opened or not is dangerous. People should learn from horrible accidents like this, unfortunately most people don’t.
