Liam Payne was excited about starting a new chapter in Florida after moving into a breathtaking home with his girlfriend - but ended up stranded in Argentina while waiting for his US visa renewal. The former One Direction member, 31, and his partner Kate Cassidy had just settled into a luxurious mansion in Wellington, Palm Beach County, a month before his untimely death.

Tragically, Liam fell from the balcony of his third-floor room at CasaSur Hotel in Buenos Aires on Wednesday afternoon, suffering severe injuries that led to his death . He had been in Argentina with Kate, where they watched his ex-1D bandmate Niall Horan perform a sold-out concert.

However, Kate had returned home earlier than Liam to look after their dog, leaving the singer in Buenos Aires, awaiting his visa renewal from the US embassy. Insiders have suggested that Liam's O-1 non-immigration visa - which necessitated him to travel abroad for its renewal - was set to be approved on Friday, two days after his tragic demise.

Just a month prior to his passing, Liam and Kate had moved into a Spanish-style rental mansion, costing $9,500 a month and he had given his fans a sneak peek into his new abode on Snapchat.

The singer quipped outdoors in his shades, channeling Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous, as he swung his arm grandly and exclaimed, "Who lives in a house like this? Let's go and find out," reports the Mirror .

Liam then strolled into his abode, offering a welcome with, "Welcome to LJP Cribs. Built during the first revolution, original stone... since then they knocked a few walls through and the ceiling was vaulted twice."

He displayed his cheeky side passing two wicker baskets, informing viewers, "This is where I keep my pet snakes Sid and Alan."

Next, he flaunted an arch under the staircase, quipping, "This did contain one of the most important paintings in the world inside it, but it was stolen."

In another part of the clip, he jests about a small cupboard stuffed with household goods: "This is where we hide people." Tracking upstairs, Liam walked down the hall vocalizing, "I'm a busy man, I'm a very, very busy man so I need space to think."

Revealing Kate's shoe collection inside a bedroom closet, he humorously announced, "This is where we hide a few more people."

Ending his tour, he descended the hallway and mused, "I will now go down the dizzy staircase and continue on with my day. Thanks for watching LJP Cribs."

Liam and Kate had been in a relationship for two years, briefly parting ways in May 2023 before reuniting. In a devastating statement following Liam's passing, Kate expressed her overwhelming grief, saying she's been "at a complete loss" since Wednesday.

She penned: "Thank you for all of the kind words and love that has been sent my way. I have been at a complete loss. Nothing about the past few days have felt real. I ask and pray that you'll give me the grace and space to navigate this in private. Liam, my angel. You are everything. I want you to know I loved you unconditionally and completely. I will continue to love you for the rest of my life. I love you Liam."
