Liam Payne's autopsy showed drugs in his system during his time of death, according to reports.

The former One Direction star died on Wednesday, October 16 when vacationing in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Palermo in Argentina. Liam was one of five members of One Direction alongside Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik and Harry Styles. The band was formed on the popular reality television show X-Factor in 2010 by Simon Cowell and Nicole Scherzinger.

A source told ABC News that Liam died from multiple substances in his system when he fell from a third-floor balcony from his hotel room. According to a partial autopsy, he had crack, cocaine, benzodiazepines, and "pink cocaine," a recreational drug that usually consists of a combination of many narcotics like methamphetamine, ketamine, MDMA, and others.

Liam's body will remain in Argentina due to visa complications before his untimely death . The former One Direction star flew to the country to see Niall Horan's sold-out gig but his U.S. visa application was reportedly denied. He sought to renew his "extraordinary visa" in Buenos Aires.

This comes after two employees of the CasaSur hotel in Buenos Aires were being questioned by police after it was alleged that they smuggled hard narcotics to Liam in a Dove soap box before his tragic death. According to the Daily Mail , a cleaner and another member of the hotel staff were accused of providing him with various narcotics.

Police searched his hotel suite and discovered a shattered television screen, white powder residue, a piece of scrunched-up burnt aluminum foil and a burnt soda can. Along with this, there was an empty Dove soap box pictured, which is how police reportedly believe the drugs were transported.

A close friend of Liam told the news outlet: "There were two guys at the hotel that were giving Liam drugs." They continued: "They sent taxis out to collect packages for him. One of the guys was working in the cleaning department. After Liam died, they noticed that one taxi was sent to the cleaner's home address. The hotel manager asked him why the taxi had gone to his home and when he couldn't give an explanation he was fired."
