Making a Difference on Choctaw Street

The teens were hard at work on a house on Mobile's Choctaw Street, painting and putting on new shingles.

Their dedication and energy are evident as they tackle the challenging tasks under the hot sun.

    Gratitude from Homeowners

Sophie Massey, one of the volunteers, shares that they've met the homeowner, who is extremely grateful for their help.

"Why do we do it? Why not? It’s a great experience! It's a fantastic way to serve the Lord and spread the Gospel. Miss Mary told us she’d been praying for this, and we got to come and do it for her!" says Sophie.

    Spreading Joy and Faith

The Mission Serve group will continue their work in Mobile for the rest of the week.

Their mission goes beyond just fixing houses; they aim to bring joy and hope to the homeowners they help.

The teens find it rewarding to see the positive impact of their efforts and the appreciation from the community.

    A Tradition of Service

This isn’t the first time Mission Serve has brought volunteers to Mobile.

The organization has a long-standing tradition of service, encouraging young people to make a tangible difference in the lives of others.

Through their hard work and dedication, these teens are learning valuable lessons about compassion, teamwork, and the power of giving back.

The teens' efforts in Mobile are a shining example of how young people can make a significant impact, one house at a time.

    Good job, kids!
