    All You Need to Know

All volunteers are provided with the necessary cleanup supplies, so all you have to do is show up ready to help!

Plus, early birds will get a free t-shirt as a thank you for their participation.

The event is Alabama’s largest single-day volunteer cleanup, organized by the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources in partnership with Alabama People Against a Littered State (ALPALS).

It’s a fun and rewarding way to spend a morning while helping protect Alabama’s beautiful coastal areas.

What This Means for Mobile Locals

For those of us in Mobile, this is an excellent chance to give back to our local environment.

The cleanup covers not just beaches but also neighborhoods, parks, and streets, helping to prevent trash from reaching our waterways.

Storm drains carry litter to streams and rivers, eventually polluting the bay and Gulf.

By participating, you’re not only making Mobile a cleaner place but also protecting the wildlife and ecosystems that make our area so special.

It’s a family-friendly event, so grab your kids, friends, or neighbors and make a morning of it.

You’ll be doing something great for the community, and who knows—you might even make some new friends while you’re at it!

    Why It Matters

Since Alabama joined the International Coastal Cleanup in 1987, over 110,000 volunteers have stepped up to keep our coastlines clean.

By joining this effort, you’re part of a larger movement to protect our natural resources.

Every piece of litter picked up prevents potential harm to our oceans and wildlife, and the impact lasts far beyond the cleanup day.

So, mark your calendars, lace up your shoes, and get ready to make a difference.

Mobile needs your help to keep our coastal areas clean and beautiful!
