How Much Do You Need To Make To Afford A Home In Montana?
A couple times a week I will get online and check out the real estate listings across Montana. My wife and I are looking to buy a home and let's just say, it's more difficult than we'd like it to be. Of course, if you're a Montana resident looking to buy, you're more than aware that we have a bit of a "housing crisis" here in Big Sky Country.
How Long Can You Leave Your Cat Home Alone?
In a conversation with a co-worker about pet ownership, we touched on the usual hurdles like vacations. He remarked, "I wish I had a cat — you can leave them alone longer than a dog." That got me thinking... How Long Can You Leave a Cat Home Alone?. Some...

The Hottest, Most Beautiful New Listings For Sale in MT Vol 5
BUTTE, MT - It's no secret that Montana has been seeing a recent, massive influx of new residents and transplants, hailing from all across the U.S. and beyond. I don't blame any of them, since Montana has so much to offer that no other state can match. However, if I keep going along with this train of thought, I will be reprimanded by the locals. Whether people want outsiders to move here or not, it's going to happen, so why not steer into the skid? Plus, I have yet to meet anyone here who was not kindhearted and friendly, whether they were a transplant or a native. Man, Montana is really cool.
Joe Satriani and Steve Vai Have ‘Crazy Ideas’ for Upcoming Album: Interview
It took Joe Satriani and Steve Vai only five decades to hit the studio together, but the guitar virtuosos are making up for lost time. They recently released "The Sea of Emotion, Pt. 1" and are prepping a full collaborative album. Although fans may have to wait a bit before that record materializes, there's been plenty happening in the meantime. The pair first reunited earlier this year with fellow six-string wizard Eric Johnson to revisit the initial G3 outing that saw the trio team up in 1996. The ongoing Satch / Vai tour quickly followed.
NFL Draft Misses & Big Sky Wishes
The NFL Draft has come and gone once again. I normally watch the first two nights, but this year I was playing sports..so...priorities. I have to admit, I threw a tiny temper tantrum when I saw the results of the first round. As both a Packers and a Michigan fan, it hurt to see J.J. McCarthy go to the Vikings. Not that I wanted the Packers to draft a quarterback, I just do not want to cheer against McCarthy. He's a good kid. Plus, is it not enough that the Vikings took Aaron Jones? I mean, come on.
Why Do So Many Montanans Drivers Have An Issue With These?
We all have our pet peeves, and one of the biggest ones for me is many Montanans don't seem to understand how roundabouts work. I'll be honest, I'm not a huge fan but they're becoming more popular in Montana, especially in the bigger towns. Living in Bozeman, we're getting more of these traffic circles and as traffic increases, it seems the understanding of how they work decreases.
Can You Guess the Iconic TV Show Locations in These Google Street View Images?
Popular TV shows really know how to get into our heads. Seeing those establishing shots in the opening credits over and over tricks us into thinking the shows are filmed in those actual homes. But the truth is, it's the opposite. TV Homes Aren't Where You Think They Are. It's...

How Much Do You Need To Make To Be Rich In Montana?
Montana is quickly becoming a playground for the rich and famous. Out-of-state folks are buying land, building huge homes, and then flying in on their private jets to spend long weekends here in The Treasure State. While this isn't new, it does seem that the numbers are increasing, so much so that the airport in Bozeman is building a series of new hangers that will be used for "personal aircraft".
