Healing with Stephanie , a reiki shop, held its grand opening May 1 at 321 Dartmouth Drive in Smithfield Township.

Sheetz , a convenience chain, opened May 2 at 1780 E. Fourth St. in Bethlehem.

Mega Nutrition , a health food and smoothie shop, opened May 4 at 746 Main St. in Bethlehem.

Aloha Jay’s , a doughnut shop specializing in Hawaiian malasadas, opened May 4 at 1120 Main St. in Hellertown.

Mi Casa Restaurante , a Central American restaurant, held a soft opening May 5 at 204 W. Madison St. in Easton.

VegOut , a vegan eatery, reopened May 7 at 1 E. Church St. in Bethlehem.

Max & Butters, an American brunch and dinner restaurant, held its soft opening May 8. The restaurant occupies the former Bell Hall space at 612 Hamilton St. in Allentown.

Sizzling Bites Halal Grill , a Middle Eastern fast casual joint, opened May 13 at 314 E. Third St. in Bethlehem, the former location of Dinky’s Ice Cream Parlor & Grill. The restaurant is owned by 18-year-old Abdul Wali, who helped manage his uncle’s restaurant, Flaming Hot Halal Grill, at 768 Union Blvd. in Allentown.

NOW CLOSED:

American Lobster, a seafood restaurant at 1420 Jacobsburg Road in Wind Gap, closed due to staffing and food cost issues.
