This Lehigh Valley food trailer is among country’s tops for barbecue

A South Whitehall Township food trailer has ranked as one of the top barbecue restaurants in the country, according to a new study.

Grill Life Barbecue opened at 2562 Route 309 in Orefield in 2022 . In an article from last month , the sportsbook BetUS ranked Grill Life Barbecue as 84th on a list of its top barbecue restaurants, which it compiled using reviews on Google and the prices for foods and drinks.

It is the only Pennsylvania-based barbecue business to make the top 100.

Owner Joe Zellner, who works with his brother Brandon, said he felt blessed for the barbecue business to rank how it did, especially given how hard it is to open and operate a restaurant successfully.

He added that in the next couple of years, he’d like to pursue a physical brick-and-mortar location for Grill Life Barbecue.

Grill Life Barbecue offers chicken, pork, brisket, sandwiches, ribs and smoked macaroni and cheese, according to its Facebook page .

It operates 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays, Zellner said.
