    Lehigh Valley high school football roundup: Easton, Executive Education win easy, and more from Week 6

    Here is a roundup of Friday night’s top Lehigh Valley high school football games in Week 6.

    Easton 43, Stroudsburg 14

    After Easton took a 2- lead on a safety, Red Rovers quarterback Cole Ordway found Andrew Biddle to make it 9-0. Stroudsburg made it 9-7 on a 48-yard catch and run by Kamari Coleman. However, Easton answered with another Ordway to Biddle touchdown, this time a 50-yarder. Dorian Thomas put Easton up 22-7, and then Ordway scored from 20 yards out to make it 36-7.

    Ordway then broke a 43-yard run to put the Red Rovers up 43-7. Stroudsburg cut the lead to 43-14 with a 22-yard touchdown pass, but the Easton defense was too much the rest of the way.

    Notre Dame-Green Pond 49, Northern Lehigh 19

    Matt Bodnar completed a 21-yard touchdown pass to Carmine Diaz to give Notre Dame a 7-0 lead. In the second quarer, Bodnar found Diaz again, this time for a one-yard score to make it 14-0. Bodnar connected with Alex Clark for a 79-yard touchdown to extend the lead to 21-0 at the half. Notre Dame took a 28-0 lead when Bodnar found Diaz for the third time, this time with a 38-yard score.

    Northern Lehigh got on the board as Garrett Smoyer threw a 22-yard touchdown on a fourth-and-9 to Chris Frame. Jonathan Striba extended the Crusaders’ lead to 35-6 with a one-yard score. Jason Frederick’s nine-yard TD run made it 42-6. Ayden Oswald cut the lead to 42-13 on a 35-yard score, but Notre Dame answered right away with a Tommy Murphy 13-yard score. Northern Lehigh added a late score, but the Crusaders dominated the game.

    Executive Education 42, Wyoming Valley West 6

    Executive took an 8-0 lead on a quarterback draw, and then two touchdown passes made it 22-0. Wyoming Valley West got on the board before the half as Kam Ingram caught an eight-yard score.

    In the second half, Yaseen Mirza scored a nine-yard touchdown, and then Christoper Rios’ 20-yard catch made it 28-6. A 72-yard pick-six gave Executive a 34-7 lead. Executive’s Zion Brake continued his big game with a 16-yard TD run to make it 42-6. Brake had two passing and two rushing touchdowns.

    Tamaqua 51, Bangor 0

    Luke Kane’s touchdown made it 7-0 Tamaqua, and the Blue Raiders never looked back. Victor Schlosser had back-to-back touchdowns to make it 21-0. Kane’s second touchdown of the night made it 28-0 at the half. Schlosser scored again for a 35-0 lead. Freshman Terrence McDowell’s touchdown extended the lead to 41-0, and then Quinn Coleman scored to make it 49-0. With 1:50 left in the game, Tamaqua’s defense forced a safety and completed the shutout.
