A Northampton County man died in a crash Friday afternoon in Monroe County.

State police said in a news release that James H. Bruch, 65, of Bath, died when his vehicle was hit by a truck about 4 p.m. in Polk Township.

The truck, driven by a 59-year-old Easton man, was traveling west on Upper Middle Creek Road when it failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection with Route 534, according to the release.
