    Lehigh Valley reuse store offering home goods to open new location

    Want to buy or donate some household items and building materials? Look no further than the new reuse store Habitat for Humanity of the Lehigh Valley will open next week.

    The organization will open the new ReStore location at 38 Main St. in Hellertown, according to the website for the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce . The ribbon cutting and grand opening will occur at 4 p.m. next Thursday.

    ReStore allows residents to donate and purchase new and slightly used merchandise such as furniture, appliances and more, according to the Habitat for Humanity website .

    “The sales from donated items help Habitat for Humanity partner with local families to build, rehabilitate and repair safe and affordable homes in your community and around the world — a good deal for you, your community and the environment,” the website stated.

    Residents can register for free at the Chamber website .

    Other Lehigh Valley ReStore locations include those at 1053 Grape St. in Whitehall Township, which opened in 2013 , and 38 N. West End Blvd. in Richland Township, which opened last summer . The Lehigh Valley chapter of the organization has operated in Lehigh and Northampton counties since 1989, according to its website .
