Costco is known for its competitive prices. But each month, Costco offers up discounts on specific items that result in even better deals. And September is no exception. Here are some of the best buys you'll find at Costco this month.

    1. $100 off the Philips Sonicare DiamondClean Connected Rechargeable Electric Toothbrush, 2-pack

You might assume that spending good money on an electric toothbrush is a waste, seeing as you can buy a cheap disposable one at the dollar store. But many dentists recommend electric toothbrushes for a more thorough clean. Using one could help prevent cavities and other issues that are not only an actual pain but also expensive to deal with.

Costco is offering $100 off of a two-pack of electric toothbrushes through Sept. 22. You can choose from a few color combinations, and you'll get a pair of wireless charging glasses included, plus two USB charging travel cases.

    2. $8 off Starbucks Pike Place Medium Roast K-Cup, 72-count

Making your own coffee at home is a great way to save money compared to buying your daily caffeine fix from Dunkin', Starbucks, or your neighborhood cafe of choice. Costco currently has a 72-count of medium roast K-cups available for $8 off of the usual price. If you drink one cup per day, that's enough to get you all the way to mid-November.

    3. $5 off Kleenex Ultra Soft Facial Tissue, 3-Ply, 85-count, 12-pack

Now that school is back in session and fall's just around the corner, it's time to gear up for those unfortunate cold viruses that tend to plague kids and adults alike. You might as well stock up on tissues while they're on sale by buying a 12-pack of Kleenex from Costco. Plus, teachers always appreciate tissue box donations, so the more you have, the more you can help.

    4. $100 off the Nexgrill Deluxe 7 Burner Gas Grill

Sometimes, the best way to get a great deal on a given purchase is to buy it right after its season is over. September is often a good time to purchase swimwear, pool accessories, and a new grill.

Costco is offering $100 off of the Nexgrill Deluxe 7 Burner Gas Grill through Sept. 6. So if you want this deal, you'll need to act quickly.

The grill offers over 800 square inches of total cooking space and is compatible with propane and natural gas. Plus, you'll get a free cover with your purchase.

    5. $12.50 off Brita Elite Replacement Water Filters, 4-count

If you live in an area where water filtering is recommended, then a Brita pitcher is often an easy solution. The only problem is that you have to frequently change those filters to keep your water fresh. And so you might as well stock up on replacement filters while they're on sale at Costco.

This four-pack is compatible with all Brita pitchers and dispensers except the Stream model. But get it quickly -- you only have until Sept. 8 to snag the sale price.

These five products are only a few of the items Costco has discounted this month. It pays to browse online or take a walk through your local store to see what other sale items are worth buying.
