4 Sam's Club Perks You've Probably Forgotten About

While inflation has cooled down lately, many Americans report that their budgets are still strained, with 66% recently saying they're living paycheck to paycheck.

Discount wholesale clubs are a great way to stretch your budget, but many people don't even scratch the surface of using the long list of available perks. Here are four that Sam's Club members likely have forgotten about.

    1. Free roadside assistance with tire installation

I once had a car that was oddly good at getting flat tires. I had the vehicle for years, and even with different sets of tires, it found every nail, piece of glass, and other road debris around. Since I sold the car, I've had zero tire issues.

If you have a car like that and you're a Sam's Club member, you won't have to worry about it. If you buy tires through Sam's Club and get the all-in tire installation, you'll automatically receive 24/7 roadside assistance for four years (as long as your membership is active). The roadside assistance includes towing, fuel delivery service, lock-out service, jump starts, and, yes, flat tire assistance.

    2. Free hearing tests

You might not think you need a hearing test, but an estimated 15% of Americans aged 20 years and older have some level of hearing loss.

That makes Sam's Club free hearing tests all the more valuable. Even if you suspect that you've had some hearing loss, you can get a definitive answer from a state-licensed professional for free at Sam's Club stores with a Hearing Center. If you end up needing a hearing aid, you can save some cash with a free consultation, adjustments, and cleanings when you buy it through your membership.

    3. Discounted dental insurance

As a freelance writer, I've had to piece healthcare coverage together for myself and my family. While it's worked out pretty well, finding good dental insurance can be trickier than shopping for a health insurance policy.

Sam's Club makes this easier for its members by offering discounted dental insurance through Humana. The company says you can save 20% to 40% on dental care, and there are more than 117,000 dentists and specialists in the network. You can also save money on everything from preventive care to basic and major services.

    4. Free curbside pickup

I've used curbside pickup at many stores, and it always feels like a luxury service. Regular Sam's Club members get free curbside pickup for online orders of $50 or more, while Plus members get free pickup for orders of any amount.

All you have to do is place your order online and check in once you arrive at the store via the Sam's Club app. Then, a Sam's Club employee will bring your order out to you and load it into your car for you !

With so many perks available with a Sam's Club membership, it's easy to forget about a few of them. But using the ones above will make your annual Club membership fee of $50 or Plus membership expense of $110 worth even more than the cost. Especially if you have a car with unlucky tires.
