Three concerts slated for Blackmon Amphitheater this week

The Surry Arts Council Summer Concert Series continues this week, with three familiar bands set to take the stage at the Blackmon Amphitheatre.

On Thursday one of the bands which always draws a crowd locally, the Embers, featuring Craig Woolard, is slated to take the stage at 7:30 p.m.

The next night, on Friday, Envision will bring its on version of high-energy music to the Blackmon in a concert scheduled for 7:30 p..m

Saturday, the musical weekend gets a send-off with a visit to the 1980s, when Cassette Rewind brings its act to the stage at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 10, at 7:30 pm

Costs for the concerts are $17, or a concert series summer pass. Those attending the shows are encouraged to take a lounge chair or blanket. Coolers and outside drink are not permitted. Concessions will be on sale. To purchase tickets or a summer pass, call 336-786-7998.
