Northern Regional Hospital has been recognized as one of the ‘Great Community Hospitals’ by Becker’s Hospital Review, a medical industry trade magazine. The two worked together or nearly two decades before the younger Hiatt left to open her own barber shop. She sold Donna’s Barber Shop this week after 21 years in operation and 16 Mountie Awards.
Boles built home, gardens from ground up
The last in a series highlighting each of the six private gardens featured on this year’s Mount Airy Blooms Garden Tour scheduled for Saturday, June 8. County manager to present budget June 3
The Surry County Board of Commissioners will hear a presentation Monday evening from County Manager Chris Knopf regarding the county budget for the coming fiscal year which begins July 1. • A Mount Airy man has been jailed under a $27,300 secured bond for allegedly assaulting a child and a felony drug violation, according to city police reports.
