3 concerts slated for Blackmon this week
The Surry Arts Council Summer Concert Series will showcase three performances this week at the Blackmon Amphitheatre. On Thursday the Embers, featuring Craig Woolard, are scheduled to take the stage for a 7:30 p.m. show. Friday evening, The Catalinas will be on the stage for a performance at 7:30. The Tonez are scheduled to go on stage on Saturday with a 7:30 p.m. show. Costs for the concerts are $17, or a concert series summer pass. Those attending the shows are encouraged to take a lounge chair or blanket. Coolers and outside drink are not permitted. Concessions will be on sale. Fire causes $52,000 damage at local home
