VIDALIA, La. — Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office chose not to roll forward tax millage rates during an annual meeting held at 10 a.m. Monday at the sheriff’s office, leaving the total millage rate at 20.62 mills.

“Sheriff David Hedrick and his Financial Team (have) chosen not to ‘roll forward’ which avoided a tax increase for the Concordia Parish property owners.  This means our 2024 tax millage rate will remain the same. I feel like the residents of Concordia Parish will be pleased with the Sheriff’s decision,” said Chief Tax Deputy Cyndie Dillon.

The millage rates adopted Monday remain the same as the 2023 tax year at 8.53 mills and 11.88 mills. The revenue expected from these millages is around $3.4 million.
