The Newport Plain Talk has unveiled Northeast Tennessee Eats, a unique discount program allowing diners to enjoy restaurants throughout the region.

“I’m proud to introduce a first-of-its-kind program designed to help you enjoy the best of Northeast Tennessee dining, even in the current economy,” said Chris White, president of APG’s Tennessee-North Carolina region.

Northeast Tennessee Eats offers a collection of $20 dining vouchers for 19 participating partner restaurants located throughout Northeast Tennessee.

The $380 value is available for only $125.

“Don’t let ‘inflation’ keep you at home,” White said. “With Northeast Tennessee Eats you can enjoy great meals at great local restaurants for a fraction of the cost.”

Participating restaurants include: Casa Express and Circle S Farm Kitchen, both in Greeneville; Cowboy’s Steakhouse, Rogersville; Crossroads Café, Bean Station; Davy Crockett Restaurant, Morristown; Hale Springs Inn, Rogersville; Hillbilly’s Country Kitchen, Greeneville; Mellow Mushroom, Johnson City; Mountain View Seafood Restaurant, Telford; Mulligan’s Irish Pub, Johnson City; Papa’s Steakhouse, Morristown; The Pioneer Restaurant, Rutledge; Rheatown Store Country Cooking, Chuckey; Red Dog on Main Taproom & Eatery, Rogersville; Smokin’ Pig BBQ, Greeneville; Texas Burritos & More Jonesborough; and Voodoo Chicken, Wild Wing Café, and Yuimaru Kitchen, all in Johnson City.

To purchase a book of gift certificates, log into www.northeasttennesseeeats.com beginning Saturday, Aug. 24. Orders will be ready to pick up within 24 hours at The Newport Plain Talk, 145 East Broadway, Newport between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
