From a list of three nominated local charities, the group selected The Ramsdell Regional Center for the Arts to be the recipient of $4,800. The Ramsdell Regional Center for the Arts&nbsp;is a performing and visual arts organization that preserves the historic Ramsdell Theatre. Its vision is to be a vibrant regional center for cultural arts, education and community engagement and to optimize an irreplaceable regional center for cultural, education and social activities through programming excellence, fiscal stability, strong community partnerships and committed volunteers. The Men Who Care donation for this quarter brings its total donations to over $150,000 since 2015. The group meets at 5:30 p.m. on the third Wednesday in January, April, July and October upstairs at Blue Fish. The group is made up of men who want to make a difference for those in need. At each meeting, every member may put the name of any Manistee County nonprofit into a hat. Three nominees are selected. At that time the nominating member has five minutes to speak about their charity. Then there are 5 minutes of questions and answers. After all of the nominated charities have been presented, a secret vote is taken. The members then each write a check for $100 to the winner of this vote.
