This year’s golf scramble drew 152 golfers and raised $76,000 to benefit charities serving Manistee and the surrounding area, according to player development manager Chad Eckhardt. “Little River established the Charity Golf Outing back in 1999, the year the casino first opened for business,”&nbsp;Eckhardt said.&nbsp;“And I’m happy to say it continues to be a great success for everyone involved. It really is a good feeling to be able to give back to our local communities.” According to Eckhardt, with volunteer support and contributions from the casino resort’s many vendors, the annual event has raised a total of $1,175,063 in private and business donations over the last 25 years. Little River Casino Resort underwrites all costs associated with the event and donates 100% of all the monies from participant fees and sponsorship funds raised. Proceeds from the 2024 Charity Golf Outing will be distributed to numerous nonprofit organizations, including: <ul><li> Benzie-Manistee Snowbirds Club </li><li> Brethren Literacy Club </li><li> Manistee VFW Auxiliary 4499 </li><li> Church of the Holy Trinity Baby Pantry </li><li> Girls on the Run West Michigan </li><li> Lakeshore Children’s Advocacy Center </li><li> Manistee Community Band </li><li> Manistee County Library </li><li> Manistee Saints Baseball Club Inc. </li><li> Five CAP Inc.&nbsp;— Dolly&nbsp;Parton’s Imagination Library. </li></ul> Little River Casino Resort is an enterprise of the Little River Band of Ottawa Indians </div></body>
