The <a href="https://www.manisteechamber.com/" rel="nofollow"> Manistee Area Chamber of Commerce </a> wants to know and is accepting public nominations for the <a href="https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSckbvCZPp2ANX0fXJNYLVZOyNdNvS-MNRQ2sSSeReJVeY9reQ/viewform" rel="nofollow"> 2025 Business Awards Gala </a> , which is set to take place on March 7 at <a href="https://www.lrcr.com/" rel="nofollow"> Little River Casino Resort </a> in Manistee. "This annual program recognizes individuals, businesses and organizations that are making significant strides within the chamber world, the business community and Manistee County as a whole," reads a news release in part. The deadline for nominations is Oct. 4. "There is so much to be inspired by in our business community," said Carmen&nbsp;Kott, operations manager of the Manistee Area Chamber of Commerce. "This is our way of celebrating the efforts and work that's taking place right here in Manistee County, of coming together and taking pride in the impact our business sector is making … all while enjoying a sophisticated evening." There are four categories for nominations: <ul><li> Business of the Year: recognizes a business that has demonstrated success and innovation over the years, must be a chamber investor and have been in business for at least three years; </li><li> Community Action: recognizes a business, organization, nonprofit or person within the community who has devoted time, energy and expertise to the betterment of Manistee County; </li><li> Business Leader: recognizes a business professional who actively participates within the community, and goes above and beyond for Manistee County; and </li><li> Emerging Business: recognizes a new business or a business that branched into Manistee County and has opened within the last three years, showing entrepreneurial spirit, providing a quality product or service, and conducting their business with professionalism and integrity. </li></ul> Among the public nominations, the gala committee will select three nominees per category as finalists. Finalists are considered based on the quality, not the quantity of nominations. The final vote will be conducted live among the final nominees at the Business Awards Gala.
