    C-U crime report, Sept. 5-10

    Champaign

    • 2000 block of Joanne Lane: A residence was hit by several gunshots at 3:35 a.m. on Sept. 10, but no residents inside were reported injured.
    • 2400 block of Highview Court: An officer took a report of a stabbing from an “uncooperative” victim around 10 p.m. on Sept. 10.
    • 40 block of Edgebrook Drive: A man told police he was robbed by two people at gunpoint around 12:30 a.m. on Sept. 10, but video footage reportedly showed that didn’t happen.
    • 1700 block of North Prospect Avenue: A man reported that he was struck by a car while riding his bicycle at 5:13 p.m. on Sept. 9.
    • 1200 block of North Mattis Avenue: A woman reported that she was struck with a vehicle during a physical altercation at 7:46 p.m. on Sept. 9.
    • 900 block of Crescent Drive: Police responded to a 911 call for help from someone who stated they were at Centennial High School, but no person or activity related to the call was located when the school was checked around 2 p.m. on Sept. 9.
    • 1300 block of Joanne Lane: A woman reported that her vehicle was stolen at 5:25 p.m. on Sept. 9.
    • 30 block of East Marketview Drive: Two men reportedly burglarized a vape shop before fleeing on foot at 1:27 a.m. on Sept. 8.
    • 2600 block of North Prospect: A man walked out of a local Walmart without paying for a television at 6:02 p.m. on Sept. 8. Staff provided police his license-plate number, and the man later admitted to stealing the device and was issued a notice to appear in court.
    • 2500 block of West Springfield Avenue: Police responded to multiple reports of shots fired at 10:31 p.m. on Sept. 7. Offices located shell casings and spent projectiles but no injured victims.
    • 400 block of East Church Street: Police responded to a report of a possible burglary in progress around 5:20 a.m. on Sept. 8.
    • Randolph Street and Springfield Avenue: Police arrested a man for aggravated unlawful use of a weapon at 12:14 a.m. on Sept. 7.
    • 500 block of Ridgewood Court: A man reportedly pulled out a firearm and threatened a woman with it after she battered him in their home at 5:48 p.m. on Sept. 7. The man was arrested, and the woman was issued a notice to appear in court for domestic battery.
    • 2600 block of West Kirby Avenue: A woman reported that her rental car was stolen from her driveway around 9 p.m. on Sept. 6.
    • 1500 block of North Mattis Avenue: Police responded to a traffic crash and arrested a man for driving under the influence at 9:42 p.m. on Sept. 6.

    900 block of Crescent Drive: A fight at a school football game resulted in an employee being battered at 6:01 p.m. on Sept. 6.

    Urbana

    • 600 block of West University Avenue: Police issued a notice to appear in court to a person after he battered a local hospital security guard at 10:46 p.m. on Sept. 10.
    • 1400 block of Silver Street: Police pulled a vehicle over for committing traffic violations at 1:24 a.m. on Sept. 10 and arrested a passenger after they ripped open a sandwich baggie containing a controlled substance and dumped it on the car’s seat and floorboard.
    • 100 block of High Cross Road: Police arrested a man with an open warrant after he entered a local business he had previously trespassed and stole property at 3:59 p.m. on Sept. 9.
    • 2000 block of Philo Road: A man reported that he had been deceived into giving a $13,000 check to an offender at 4:19 p.m. on Sept. 9.
    • 1000 block of Hill Street: An unknown person reportedly stole license plates off a woman’s vehicle around 5 a.m. on Sept. 9.
    • Bradley Avenue and North Matthews Avenue: Police separated two sisters for the night after they reportedly physically fought each other around 4:15 a.m. on Sept 9.
    • 200 block of North Vine Street: Police issued a notice to appear in court to a man after he stole alcohol from a store at 3:27 p.m. on Sept. 8 and later admitted to it.
    • 1000 block of University Avenue: An unknown person entered a business and stole property from it around 4 p.m. on Sept. 8, though the property was later found nearby and returned.
    • 1500 block of Curtiss Drive: An unknown person stole the rear license plate of a man’s car around 8 p.m. on Sept. 8.
    • 1500 block of Hunter Street: Police arrested a man after he returned to a victim’s residence around 6 p.m. on Sept. 7, violating his pretrial release conditions.
    • 1800 block of South Cottage Grove Avenue: A woman reported that an unknown person had entered her unlocked vehicle and stolen her medication bag around 7 p.m. on Sept. 6.
    • 800 block of West Green Street: An unknown person stole a package from outside a woman’s residence at 1:38 p.m. on Sept. 5.
    • 1100 block of Austin Drive: An unknown person removed a medication delivery from a woman’s residence at 3:05 p.m. on Sept. 5.

    University of Illinois

    • 900 block of South Mathews Avenue: An officer located a bullet at 12:37 p.m. on Sept. 10 that had damaged the roof of the university’s observatory.
    • 1100 block of Springfield Avenue: Police arrested a subject at 6:29 p.m. on Sept. 8 who had previously trespassed on UI property.
    • 1400 block of West Green Street: A man reported at 9:35 a.m. on Sept. 7 that his laptop was stolen from inside a campus building.
    • 600 block of East Green Street: An officer responded to a report of sexual abuse at 10:14 p.m. on Sept. 7.
    • 1400 block of South First Street: Police issued a notice to appear in court to a man for flying a drone in a reckless manner that endangered others at 6:58 p.m. on Sept. 7.
    • 200 block of East Green Street: Police arrested a person at 1:21 a.m. on Sept. 7 after they made threats against UI police officers and security staff at a Champaign bar.
    • 1300 block of Springfield Avenue: Officers removed a subject from Grainger Library after they refused to leave the property at 1:08 a.m. on Sept. 6 and arrested the person for battery and disorderly conduct.
    • 1200 block of West University Avenue: A man reported around 9:25 a.m. on Sept. 9 that his potted plant was stolen from outside his office window.
    • 200 block of East Green Street: A person reported at 1:02 p.m. on Sept. 6 that their earbuds were stolen while out at a bar.

    1400 block of West Green Street: A subject reportedly trespassed in Illini Union around 1:45 p.m. on Sept. 6.
