Isaiah Adams
Arizona Cardinals offensive lineman
What happened:
The rookie played just two snaps in Arizona’s 42-14 home loss this past Sunday to the Washington Commanders.
What’s next:
Arizona (1-3) will try to snap a two-game losing streak at 3:05 p.m. on Sunday against the 49ers (2-2) at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif.
Tony Adams
New York Jets safety
What happened:
Adams led the Jets’ defense with 11 tackles, including two tackles for loss, as the starting safety in a 10-9 home loss to the Broncos this past Sunday. Adams was also on the field for 59 of New York’s 61 defensive snaps, as the Jets limited Denver to only 186 yards on offense.
What’s next:
The Jets (2-2) will look to rebound when they play the first London game this season with New York set for a 8:30 a.m. kick on Sunday against the Vikings (4-0) at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in north London.
Nick Allegretti
Washington Commanders offensive lineman
What happened: Allegretti started at left guard but injured his ankle late in Washington’s commanding 42-14 road victory against the Cardinals last Sunday with Allegretti still playing 69 of a possible 72 offensive snaps, as rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels
continued to impress for the Commanders.
What’s next: Allegretti was a limited participant in practice on Friday and is listed as questionable ahead of a noon kick for Washington (3-1) against the Browns (1-3) at Northwest Stadium in Landover, Md.
Chase Brown
Cincinnati Bengals running back
What happened: Brown had a breakout game, matching starting running back Zach Moss
with 15 carries with Brown also plunging into the end zone for a pair of short-yardage rushing touchdowns and finishing with a team-leading 81 rushing yards, as Cincinnati ended its 0-fer to start the season with a 34-24 win last Sunday against the Panthers in Charlotte, N.C. Brown was also targeted three times in the passing game with two receptions for 12 yards and returned two kickoffs for a total of 52 yards while playing 27 snaps on offense and 18 snaps on special teams.
What’s next:
The Bengals (1-3) play host to the Ravens (2-2) at noon on Sunday at Paycor Stadium in Cincinnati.
Sydney Brown
Philadelphia Eagles defensive back
What happened:
While recovering from offseason knee surgery, Brown spent a fourth week on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list for the Eagles, who lost 33-16 to the Buccaneers this past Sunday in Tampa, Fla.
Philadelphia (2-2) has its scheduled bye with Brown eligible to return to the practice field as early as next week.
