    Monday's prep highlights: Prasanth, Harper have big days on the pitch

    In volleyball

    Lincoln Prairie Confe rence Tournament

    Arthur-Lovington-Atwood-Hammond 2, Okaw Valley 0. Savannah Butcher turned in six kills and four aces, Summer Melton chipped in four kills and Alayna Plank added 14 assists to help the Knights (14-4) past the Timberwolves in a 25-15, 25-10 decision.

    Arthur-Lovington-Atwood-Hammond 2, Cumberland 0. Bella Romine 's nine-kill performance combined with Summer Melton 's four-kill outing to help ALAH (15-4) keep it going against the Pirates in a 25-18, 25-14.

    Nontournament

    Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin 2, Seger (Ind.) 0. Macy Danner's 14 digs helped the Blue Devils (11-5) secure a 25-14, 25-17 interstate win, with Reis McFarland adding seven kills and seven digs and Mallory Brines chipping in 12 assists and an ace.

    Chrisman 2, Paris 0. The host Cardinals (11-6) collected a 25-17, 25-19 win over the Tigers in nonconference play.

    Fisher 2, Hoopeston Area 0. Brooklyn Kellems ' 10-dig effort combined with eight digs apiece from Paige Hott and Avery Carleton to help the host Bunnies (5-17) to a 26-24, 25-13 Heart of Illinois Conference win over the Cornjerkers (5-13). Hott also added seven kills, Carleton chipped in four aces and Lily Fortune offered a pair of blocks.

    Tuscola 2, Urbana 0. Three kills from Valentina Gonzalez and three blocks from Elizabeth Lange weren't enough to help the Tigers (4-8) past the Warriors (5-15) in a 19-25, 14-25 nonconference decision.

    Watseka 2, St. Anne 0. The Warriors (20-5) went on the road to secure a 25-20, 25-8 nonconference win over the Cardinals thanks to 10 digs and eight kills from Ella Smith , five kills apiece from Lauren Tegtmeyer and Megan Martin and 17 assists from Christa Holohan .

    In boys' soccer

    Cornerstone 3, Monticello 0. The host Cyclones shut down the Sages (6-12-1) in a nonconference contest, with Dallas Glauner 's seven saves pacing Monticello's attack.

    Oakwood/Salt Fork 3, Unity 0. Macen Phillips scored twice and Mason Swartz added a goal of his own to help Oakwood/Salt Fork (19-2) tackle the Rockets (7-6-2) in a nonconference game played in Tolono. Joey Young had 15 saves for Unity, while Jakob Rupp saved five shots for O/SF.

    St. Joseph-Ogden 8, Watseka/Milford 0. Zach Harper 's four-goal effort helped the Spartans (18-2-1) secure a decisive win over the Warriors (14-4) in nonconference play, with additional goals coming from Quinn Stahl , Alex Acosta , Tyler Hess and Davin Alvarez . Jaxson Colvin had 10 saves to lead the Spartans' defense.

    Uni High 9, Mattoon 1. Five goals from Shabi Prasanth and scores from Yuto Inoue , Henry Wang , Robert Gao and Ansh Singh helped the Illineks (15-6) down the host Green Wave in nonconference play. Muhammad Iftikhar saved three shots to help Uni High's cause.

    In girls' tennis

    At Danville. Host Danville won a 9-0 decision against Watseka, with singles wins from Anna Houpt (6-2, 6-1), R eese Rundle (6-0, 6-0), Aliya Morgan (6-1, 6-1), Samantha Brown (6-1, 6-0), Maya Towne (6-1, 6-2) and Lexi Foley (6-3, 6-1) powering the sweep. The Vikings three doubles teams — Houpt with Rundle, Morgan with Brown and Towne with Foley — were victorious as well.

    In girls' swimming and diving

    At Urbana. Host Urbana won all but two events as it scored 245 points to defeat Charleston (78) and Danville (13) at Urbana Indoor Aquatic Center. Scoring individual wins for the Tigers were Kate Gresch (200 yard freestyle, 2:28.49 and 500 freestyle, 6:38.95), Sydney Goeddel (50 freestyle, 28.27 and 100 breaststroke, 1:20.67), Cecelia Birdsley (200 individual medley, 2:44.54) and Madeline Lofrano (100 freestyle, 1:08.01). Urbana's 200 medley relay team of Goeddel, Birdsley, Abigail Coppess and Lofrano won in 2:21.81, while its 200 freestyle relay team of Lofrano, Coppess, Mamie Vandegrift and Gresch won in 2:11.85.

    In boys' and girls' golf

    Preps coordinator Zach Piatt recapped a busy day of sectional tournaments that saw 10 area golfers — six boys and four girls — advance to the state finals:
