VERONA — Augusta County is continuing to accept donations for flood victims in Virginia and North Carolina. The first round of supplies was flown out on Oct 4-5. A semi-truck shipment of collected donations followed.

"Thank you to those who have donated for the effort to aid areas that are impacted by flooding," said Augusta County Administrator Timothy Fitzgerald. "Those items identified essential and immediate needs and have been air-lifted to places that were hardest hit."

This week, attention turns toward meeting needs that are ongoing. These items will be sent via semi-truck. Please see the list below for suggested donations.

Cash or check donations accepted; 100% will be spent on flood relief items. Checks payable to: Augusta County Sheriff's Office; in the memo line, please note "flood relief."
