WAYNESBORO – Authorities arrested a Rockingham County woman Wednesday, charging her in connection with a shooting in Waynesboro that took place Memorial Day weekend, resulting in a man's death.

On May 25, 22-year-old Seth Wallace was shot multiple times in the 1300 block of D Street. The shooting took place shortly before 4:30 a.m., the Waynesboro Police Department said.

Wallace died almost three weeks later after being taken to UVA Health in Charlottesville.

A suspect, Dustin A. Dove, 24, of McGaheysville, was charged in the shooting with aggravated malicious wounding and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. The charges are under review by the Waynesboro Commonwealth's Attorney's Office, and Dove is expected to be charged with murder.

A preliminary hearing for Dove is scheduled for next week.

At the time of the shooting, Dove was free on bond on numerous drug charges out of Rockingham County. In August, he received a three-year prison sentence on four charges of drug distribution, court records show. He is being held at the Albemarle-Charlottesville Regional Jail.

On Wednesday, Kaylee G. Turner, 21, of Timberville, was arrested on charges of being a principal in the second degree to second-degree murder, and being a principal in the second degree to use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, according to Waynesboro General District Court records.

Turner is incarcerated at Middle River Regional Jail in Verona. She is being held without bond.

This situation has all the earmarks of a drug deal that went wrong. The time, the hour of occurrence, and records of perpetrators all point to this, especially with the firearms and perp's backgrounds , which emphasizes this even more.
