Jelly Roll stopped by Coast Guard while leaving Put-in-Bay

The U. S. Coast Guard boarded the v e ssel transporting Jelly Roll from Put-in-Bay , after the Bash on the Bay country music festival on Wednesday night.

Jelly Roll headlined the first day of the two-day annual festival. He is a rising star in the country music world, winning multiple Country Music Awards.

Ottawa County Sheriff Stephen Levorchick was on the private craft.

“They do safety boardings, to ensure that the proper documentation and equipment is present," Levorchick said.

Something great that I ate: Fried Nutter Butters at the Fair

I love peanut butter. I also love cookies. Fair food is one of my guilty pleasures.

When I heard that the Sandusky County Fair had a food vendor making Fried Nutter Butters, I simply couldn't wait to get there.

Now, the question you should be asking is related to my informants. I really do have people all over Northwest Ohio feeding me information, and some of that info is about fair food. I've been told that I am wasting my talent, but those people have probably never had a breaded and fried Nutter Butter cookie. It was exactly as good as it sounds. I just wish they sold them with a big glass of cold milk.
