Man, 29, shot in Wake Forest dies. Police open homicide investigation.

Wake Forest police are investigating a homicide after a 29-year-old man shot over the weekend died from his injuries.

The man, whose name is being withheld pending notification of his family, was shot along the 1000 block of East Wait Avenue just before 3 a.m. Saturday.

He was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Police have not made any arrests or released information about a suspect in the shooting.
