    Man charged with murder in connection with April fatal shooting in Durham

    A man has been charged with murder five months after the fatal shooting occurred in Durham, police said.

    Roy Bright, 38, was indicted on one count of murder and two counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury.

    On April 30 about 11:45 p.m., Durham police found three men had been shot in the 400 block of West Club Boulevard. One of the men was Thomas Holloway Jr., who died at the scene. He was 51. The two other men were taken to the hospital.

    Bright was arrested Sept. 18, and is being held in the Durham County Jail with no bond.

    The shooting was one of two shootings in Durham that night with the other one happening on West Umstead and South streets. A 17-year-old boy was killed, and a woman was shot.
