Florida high school football Super 25 rankings: Who made poll for 2024 season Week 1?

It's a new football season, but it's a lot of familiar names at the top of the USA Today Florida Network's Super 25.

National power IMG Academy beings the year at No. 1 in the state. The Ascenders once again have a roster loaded with Power 4 talent and should get a big boost from summer transfers such as four-star quarterback Ty Hawkins and four-star offensive lineman Michael Carroll .

Chaminade-Madonna, which won its third consecutive state championship in 2023, is No. 2. St. Thomas Aquinas, which is aiming for a sixth consecutive state title, is No. 3. Cocoa, which won back-to-back Class 2S state titles , and Plantation-American Heritage round out the top five.

The opening weekend of games features several top matchups with national implications. IMG travels to Utah to face nationally ranked Corner Canyon. St. Thomas Aquinas hosts defending national champion Bishop Gorman (Nevada), Chaminade-Madonna takes on St. John Bosco (California) and Milton (Georgia) plays at American Heritage.
