    SW Florida high school roundup: Swimming, bowling and volleyball for Sept. 3-7

    THURSDAY

    Girls Bowling

    Mariner 5, Island Coast 0: The Tritons were led by Samantha Contino with a 164 and Aubrey Kinkleo with a 153 as Mariner had a total team score of 590.

    Cypress Lake 5, South Fort Myers 0: High scorer for Cypress was Mackenzy Stouffer with 182 as the Panthers improved to 3-0.

    Cape Coral 4, North Fort Myers 0: Cape Coral's Brooke Pabst scored a match high of 250.

    Bishop Verot 5, Leigh 0: Mia Gasperini rolled a match-high 133.

    Oasis vs. East Lee: The Sharks' Meesa Neujahr rolled a 140.

    Boys Bowling

    Mariner 4, Island Coast 1: The Tritons were led by a game-high score of 227 from Trey Lemus. Mike Testa added a 198 to Mariner's total team score of 948.

    Cypress Lake 5, South Fort Myers 0: Jace McCrumb rolled a 215 to lead the Panthers (3-0).

    Bishop Verot d. Lehigh: Nolan Wagner (207), Nathan Jordan (192), and CJ Carranza 192 led the Vikings.

    Oasis vs. East Lee: The Sharks' Robert Kelley Jr. rolled a 247.

    Boys Golf

    Seacrest 162, ECS 175: Seacrest's Colton Werder was medalist with a 36 at Hideaway Country Club in Fort Myers. Mack Brown shot a 40 for Seacrest while Adam Jenkins and Hunter Hayes tied for third for ECS with 41.

    Barron Collier 143, CSN 160: Barron Collier was led by Ian Psota with a 3-under par 33.  Matthew Gerstemeier shot a 1-under 35 and Braden Miller shot 1-over 37.  Spencer Ives led Community School with an even-par 36.

    Mariner 179, Riverdale 195: DJ Dwire was medalist for Mariner with a 40 followed by Trenton Taylor and Justin Medero with 46s while Riverdale was led by Coye Padgett (44) and Blake Sands (45).

    Girls Golf

    Riverdale 82, Mariner 108: In a match reduced to six holes due to weather, the Raiders were led by junior Ava Costello and freshman Molly Jones who each shot a 41.  Mariner was led by Emma Tuescher and Anna Egler.

    Volleyball

    Riverdale 3, Ida Baker 0: Riverdale won 25-17, 25-19, 25-17. Piper Higginbotham had 5 aces, 10 assists, 4 kills and 7 digs for the Raiders, Olivia Znotens had an ace, 9 digs, 10 kills, 4 blocks and Jaylynn Campbell had 9 kills, 11 service points, and 9 digs.

    SFCA 3, ECS 0: The King's won in straight sets 25-12, 25-14, 25-15. Freshman outside Gigi Noah led the King's attack with 21 Kills. Freshman middle Journey Cook and senior setter Elianna Darby lead the King's defense with 7 blocks apiece. Senior libero Robbie Warden also tallied 23 digs.

    Gateway 3, Lehigh 2: The Eagles won the last two sets to win the match 25-9, 23-25, 22-25, 25-19, 15-8. Maria Roa had a strong service game for the Eagles with at least 6 aces.

    WEDNESDAY

    Volleyball

    Canterbury 3, Oasis 0: The Cougars won 25-14, 25-22, 25-18.  Brighten Sedmack led Canterbury with 17 Kills and 11 digs. Remy Foos added 8 kills and Molly Dunn 21 assists. Vanessa Moriarty had 11 kills for Oasis while Jordan Baksh added 8 kills and Sarah Mikulus held down the defense with 13 digs.

    Boys Swimming

    Charlotte 157, Oasis 123: Oasis junior Zach Poskon captured the 200-yard IM and 500 freestyle. Oasis Junior Lior Chkoury won the 200 free. The Oasis 200 medley relay with R.J. Brugal, Poskon, Chkoury and Cole Lager finished first. The Oasis 400 free relay with Lager, Chkoury, Brugal and Poskon took first place.

    Girls Swimming

    Charlotte 171, Oasis 100: Sophomore Skye Persechino captured first place in both the 200 free and 100 butterfly. Junior Amanda Saiz took first in the 100 free.

    Riverdale 3 Gateway 0: The Raiders won 25-9, 25-18, 25-10. Emily Grant had 12 assists, 5 aces, and 7 digs. Olivia Znotens had 13 kills, 1 ace, 12 digs, Natalie Grant had 15 digs, and Emma Yancey 6 blocks.

    St. John Neumann 3, SFCA 1: Neumann won 25-16, 15-25, 24-26, 19-25. Freshman GiGi Noah led the King's attack with 16 kills and 4 total blocks.

    Bishop Verot 3, Imagine School 0: The Vikings won 25-6, 25-7, 25-2.

    Aubrey Rogers 3, Palmetto Ridge 1: The Patriots won 17-25, 25-21, 25-22, 27-25. Ava Wall had 14 kills, Mariana Franco 25 digs, and Scarlett Ricciardiello, in her first game back from injury, had 5 aces.

    Boys Bowling

    Cypress Lake 4, Estero 1: High score for Cypress was Jordan Strunk with a 191.

    Bishop Verot d. East Lee: Verot was led by Seamus Murray 215 and CJ Carranza 225.

    Oasis vs. Gateway: Oasis was led by a 216 from Robert Kelley Jr.

    Girls Bowling

    Cypress Lake 5, Estero 0: High score for Cypress was Mackenzy Stouffer with a 161.

    Bishop Verot d. East Lee: Mia Brooks 168 and Sienna Gasperini 163 led Verot. East Lee's Ella Lees rolled a 165.

    Oasis vs. Gateway: Oasis was led by Meesa Neujahr's 132.
