East Lee County and Riverdale stayed unbeaten, Gulf Coast won a wild shootout over rival Lely and Venice outslugged Bishop Verot in a heavyweight bout that saw the pair of powerhouses combine for an astounding 127 points.

Those were just some of the top games from Week 3 of the high school football season.

To honor the players who stood out, The News-Press and Naples Daily News hand out their Game Balls for the top efforts each week. Here are those players for this week's games.

The pair of explosive running backs helped power the Golden Eagles to a win over rival Immokalee. Jean rushed for 143 yards and two touchdowns on 12 carries while Simeon added 132 yards and two scores on just eight rushes.

    Madrid Tucker, Fort Myers

The senior quarterback completed 17-of-36 passes for 195 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for 151 yards and three more scores in the Vikings' 71-56 loss to Class 7A power Venice.

    Deshon Jenkins, Bishop Verot

The junior running back carried 17 times for 179 yards and two touchdowns against Venice Friday.

    Jace Seyler, Gulf Coast

The senior quarterback passed for nearly 300 yards and one touchdown while rushing for three more scores in a wild 50-46 win over Lely.

    Nino Joseph, Lely

The Trojans running back had a huge game against Gulf Coast, rushing for 242 yards and scoring five total touchdowns.

    Dom Ardezzone, Fort Myers

The Fort Myers quarterback, an Aubrey Rogers transfer, may have had his coming out party as he completed 23-of-30 passes for 389 yards and five touchdowns and had a 9-yard rushing touchdown in Fort Myers' win over Cypress Lake.

    Noah Figueroa, East Lee

East Lee’s senior defensive end had himself a night. The defensive captain for the Jags spent a lot of time in the Estero backfield, recording 6 sacks and returning a fumble for a touchdown after junior Jesiah McKnight delivered a huge hit on Estero’s sophomore quarterback Maddox Stewart.

    Jayden Boyd, Cape Coral

The defensive back had back-to-back scores via a 75-yard kickoff return and a 27-yard fumble return to turn a one-score game into a comfortable 19-point advantage for the Seahawks over Bonita Springs.

    Isaac Garcia, Palmetto Ridge

Garcia ran the ball just 4 times for 24 yards, but added six receptions for 125 yards with a 31-yard touchdown that gave the Bears an early 8-0 lead. He had the two-point conversion after that score and added another later on.
