If you’re a Fox Island resident and a coffee aficionado then you’ll be happy to hear that a Gig Harbor-based coffee roastery has opened a coffee shop on the island.

Cutters Point Coffee Co. announced the opening of a new location at 609 Fox Drive on August 1.

“We are so excited to announce the opening of our new location on Fox Drive!!” their Instagram post stated.

The Fox Island location is operating out of a brown drive-thru coffee stand that was previously a Botra Bean coffee stand and is open Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Saturday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The News Tribune previously reported that the coffee company is owned and operated by Brooke Payne, a longtime Gig Harbor resident.

The Cutters Point Coffee Co.’s flagship store, which is located in the Olympic Village shopping complex in Gig Harbor, originally started out as Austin Chase Coffee in 1989. Payne operated the coffee shop as an Austin Chase for five years before opening his own coffee roasting facility and rebranding as Cutters Point in 2000.

This new location will be the Cutters Point Coffee Co. ninth location in Pierce County and is the 13th location in the state of Washington.
