Update: Highway 101 is now open at Milepost 24

Highway 101 is now open at Milepost 24 following a serious accident this morning. Traffic is moving very slowly and backups have occured in both directions. The scene has been turned over to ODOT, please watch TripCheck.com for updates and proceed with caution if heading south from Seaside.

The closure of U.S. 101 at milepost 24, about one mile north of the junction with U.S. 26 between Seaside and Cannon Beach, may last into the afternoon due to a severe crash. Because there is no local detour, please consider rescheduling your trip until later Monday afternoon.

Southbound 101 traffic has backed up to Seaside, and northbound traffic is backed up nearly to Cannon Beach and onto westbound U.S. 26.
