OXFORD – A former West Point Police Department detective found guilty of two counts of fraud last month has asked a federal judge to acquit him of both charges.

Ramirez Ivy, 42, remains free on bond pending his sentencing, where he faces up to 60 years in federal prison. A jury found him guilty of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and of playing a role in a scheme to defraud the government. Both charges are tied to a $200,000 loan using COVID pandemic relief funds.
