    Tupelo officials weigh options for final ARPA funding

    TUPELO — As the deadline to obligate its pandemic-era federal funding quickly approaches, city of Tupelo officials are now tasked with ensuring all the funds are used to their fullest.

    The All-America City received $9.4 million in American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds, which the federal government doled out to help foster economic recovery after the COVID-19 pandemic, for use on a myriad of projects including wastewater, sewer, drainage and other infrastructure needs. Since receiving this money in 2022, Tupelo officials have used it to fund about 20 projects across the city.
