OSHKOSH – Guess who’s coming home!

NBA All-Star turned Olympic gold medalist Tyrese Haliburton is returning to his old high school, Oshkosh North, to host a special youth basketball camp, the Tyrese Haliburton ProCamp on Aug. 28.

A two-time All-Star and All-NBA Third Team selection, the 24-year-old Haliburton is partnering with Common Ground Healthcare Cooperative and ProCamp to give back to kids in his hometown.

A three-star recruit at Oshkosh North, Haliburton led the Spartans to a 26-1 record and the 2018 state championship as a senior after scoring 30 points against Brookfield East in the final.

The Indiana Pacers floor general had a significantly less role in Paris on a loaded Team USA featuring future first-ballot Hall of Famers LeBron James, Steph Curry and Kevin Durant.

Playing essentially as the team’s “third-string” point guard behind Jrue Holiday and Derrick White, Haliburton appeared in just three of the team’s six games while averaging 8.8 minutes in those contests.

But he was a great sport about it, even “memeing” himself in a social media post with his gold medal where he wrote “when you ain’t do nun on the group project and still get an A.”

Still, Haliburton is coming off arguably his best season as a pro after leading the league in assists while taking the Pacers to the Eastern Conference Finals.
